Poppin Bottles in Old Ellicott City - Steve & Priya’s Engagement Shoot

I was so happy to receive that text.

It was a picture of just their hands…

Priya’s bright and beautiful green engagement ring in the sunlight, the curve of her fingers being held toward the iPhone lens by Steve’s hand.

Steve and Priya were actually my neighbors in Old Ellicott City, which is how we met. We rented an apartment in the same building. That chapter of our lives was truly… so… SO fun. There’s really nothing like spending all your time on the back porch, lost in conversation about easy dinner recipes and what time the sun will actually go down over the horizon. What time it was? We didn’t care. We were just happy to be spending it together.

We’d sit out on the porch in the sunlight, barefoot in sundresses. And when it got dark and chilly, we’d run into our respective dwellings to grab a blanket, wrap it around our shoulders and keep talking, as if we were in no competition against the clock and had no where to go and nothing to do. It was COVID, after all, we truly had no where to be, anyways.

Steve and Pryia are the kind of people that can always make you laugh.

Whenever I’m around them, I’m always uncontrollably laughing. Giggling. Like a child.

It’s easy to see how the two of them are the picture match for one another, they have so much fun together and enjoy the zest of life and everything it has to offer.

Their joy radiates everytime you are around them. They are the kind of people that lift your spirits, the king of people you can’t help but smile when you are around them.

It was an honor and a privilege to pop some champagne on that same porch. The porch we thought we’d never leave. Only this time, celebrating a new chapter.
